Forward Deployed Engineer, Video

Responsibilities

• Own customer engagements end-to-end from feasibility to post-delivery support
• Translate customer model-development goals into executable technical plans
• Build tooling to turn raw footage into searchable, high-quality datasets
• Identify recurring patterns in customer requests to build reusable platform capabilities
• Develop technical playbooks and quality standards for the video vertical

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an engineer with customer exposure
• Experience working directly with media data, specifically video
• Experience building and operating systems that process or deliver data at scale
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements and communicate technical trade-offs
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of technical implementations

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with video processing (codecs, transcoding, ffmpeg)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with search, vector embeddings, or semantic retrieval
• Experience evaluating or deploying vision-language models
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Databricks, Dagster, Vercel)
