Deep Science Ventures (DSV) is on a mission to create a future in which both humans and the planet can thrive. We use our unique venture creation process to create, spin-out, and invest in science companies, combining available scientific knowledge and founder-type scientists into high-impact ventures.

Responsibilities

• Refine and complement existing scoping work on technical thesis for crop resilience
• Develop commercial strategy including IP strategy, differentiation, and competition
• Define value proposition, market, and techno-economics
• Establish regulatory strategy and positioning
• Lead fundraising strategy and pitching
• Optimize company strategy for a rapid path to Series A
• Recruit advisory and co-founding team members

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent industry R&D experience in plant physiology, crop science, molecular biology, epigenetics, or microbiology
• Experience in translational execution (discovery to field, managing CRO/CDMO programs)
• Cross-functional ownership across R&D, Product, Regulatory, and IP
• Experience in venture creation, fundraising, or agtech/biotech product leadership
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous biotech founder experience
• Previous biotech C-suite experience
• Previous VC fundraising experience
• Commercial and BD expertise with a network in agrochem or pesticide development
• Proven track record of building and leading successful teams
