Freelance Draftsman

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural floor plans, elevations, and sections for new and existing restaurant locations based in Dubai, UAE.
• Translate conceptual sketches, mood boards, and verbal instructions into precise technical drawings suitable for permitting and construction.
• Collaborate with kitchen designers, MEP engineers, and interior designers to ensure spatial and technical integration.
• Develop construction documents and full drawing sets for permitting, tendering, and contractor execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, ADA standards, health department regulations, and fire safety requirements in the UAE.
• Create and maintain standardized CAD blocks and drawing templates aligned with brand guidelines.
• Revise drawings promptly based on feedback from stakeholders, consultants, or local authorities.
• Coordinate drawing submissions and revisions with the project manager to meet construction schedules.
• Annotate and dimension drawings clearly for use by contractors, inspectors, and construction crews.
• Perform occasional site visits within the UAE to validate as-built measurements and update plans where required.
• Participate in internal design meetings to advise on constructability and documentation constraints.
• Submit final drawing packages in required formats (DWG, PDF, Revit, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of kitchen layouts and technical kitchen clearances
