Freelance Quality Assurance - Immediate Joiner

Responsibilities

• Test Planning: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements, develop test plans, and define test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Test Execution: Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, usability, and compatibility testing, to validate the software or digital product against specified requirements.
• Bug Detection and Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects or anomalies using bug tracking systems (Jira). Clearly communicate issues, including steps to reproduce, to the development team for resolution.
• Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, test data, and test results, to facilitate the testing process and ensure repeatability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and effective collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.
• Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and support the development of automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools.
• Quality Assurance Standards: Adhere to industry best practices and quality assurance standards to deliver high-quality products and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, including manual testing and test automation
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA best practices
• Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks such as Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems, version control systems, and test management tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with meticulous documentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
