Freelance Senior Linguist - Marketing & Life Sciences - Amharic

Responsibilities

• Translate and copy edit content for life sciences and marketing verticals including investigator-facing, patient-facing, pharmacy, marketing, help, and UI materials
• Collaborate with Welocalize's global network on multiple accounts and programs
• Ensure linguistic quality and cultural appropriateness for Amharic target audiences
• Utilize CAT tools and workflows to deliver consistent, high-quality translations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience translating or copy editing in life sciences or marketing
• Native-level Amharic with deep cultural expertise
• Professional-level English (US or GB)
• Proficiency with CAT tools: XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Translation degree preferred, or equivalent experience (3 years with other degree, 5 years without degree)
