Freelance Social Media Copywriter - English

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate first-class execution of innovative and effective communication across multiple industries, markets, and media, and write in diverse copy styles across assignments
• Analyse problems, anticipate consequences, and eliminate obstacles to successfully complete projects
• Quick with wit, provide options, use humor in work, and find unexpected ways to convey messaging
• Create copy for multiple channels including offline, digital, and social media, including content calendars
• Support the Social Media team in concepting, writing, presenting, and defending work that addresses client needs; craft original concepts and execute copy based on established voice/tone
• Collaborate on campaign ideas and cross-platform tactics with a multi-disciplinary team while managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Collaborate with design and art direction partners, contributing to both art and copy
• Proactively research and pursue ideas for professional development; seek out creative mentorship and inspiration
• Participate in new business pitches, representing creative capabilities
• Stay updated on industry trends, pop culture, and technology

Requirements

• Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Experience with SEO
• Strong research skills and creativity
• Collaborative spirit
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• BSc/BA in marketing, English, journalism, or related field
