Freelance Translator with Swedish

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality translation and localization services for the Marketing and IT sectors
• Perform linguistic reviews and quality assurance (QA) on translated content
• Manage terminology consistency through the use of Translation Memories (TMs), glossaries, and style guides
• Execute transcreation and documentation tasks to ensure cultural relevance

Requirements

• Native Swedish speaker with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with SDL Studio and other CAT tools
• Specialized experience in Marketing and IT translation/proofreading
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Strong familiarity with US American culture and pop culture to ensure accurate localization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• High availability (potentially at least 4 hours per day) and quick response times

• Editorial or journalistic skills
• Up-to-date knowledge of language and terminology trends
