Job description

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and optimize all transportation modes (air, ocean, road, rail) to ensure timely and cost-effective global delivery.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with a global network of freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL providers.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs such as transit times, on-time delivery, and cost per shipment.
  • Develop and execute a global warehouse strategy, including location selection and inventory control.
  • Implement and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve accuracy and operational flow.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for international trade compliance, including EAR and ISP regulations.
  • Manage the process of obtaining export licenses for controlled or dual-use goods.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to mitigate compliance risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of leading logistics teams and implementing large-scale strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade compliance, export controls, and customs regulations.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and logistics technologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the maritime or oil and gas industry.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) requirements.
