French to Spanish OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate OPI/VRI interpretation between French and Spanish speakers in healthcare and medical settings
• Render all messages completely and accurately without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter standards of practice
• Take detailed notes during calls and apply specialized medical terminology
• Facilitate communication between Limited French Proficient individuals and clients
• Complete internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leadership and comply with dress code for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Fluent in French and native-level proficiency in Spanish
• 1+ years of telephone interpretation experience with an established interpretation company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma in your native language
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills

Preferred Qualifications

• International healthcare certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
• Additional language pairs or specialized industry expertise
