Front End Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive initiatives to deliver high-quality, available, and maintainable software to users
• Help the team navigate technical trade-offs and drive alignment across user experiences
• Communicate team goals, project scope, and risks while owning delivery timelines
• Identify and iterate on engineering processes to support high-performing teams
• Conduct regular 1-1s to discuss technical work and professional development
• Create an inclusive environment and ensure developers are empowered throughout the lifecycle
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, Operations, and Data Science teams

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience leading engineers in a software development environment
• Experience working across multiple distributed teams
• Software engineering background capable of driving technical decisions
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects
• Previous experience with frontend platform initiatives like design systems or architectural improvements
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Proven track record of shipping sophisticated user-facing experiences on time
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across roles
• Ability to hire, mentor, and delegate to geographically distributed team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fostering the use of AI in frontend engineering teams
• Experience working in open source environments
