Frontend Engineer, ChessKid

Responsibilities

• Build seamless platform experiences for ChessKid using Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS
• Identify and fix bugs to maintain system stability and performance
• Collaborate with design and development teams to implement new features and products
• Optimize performance and resolve issues including race conditions, memory leaks, and bottlenecks
• Create pixel-perfect, fully responsive designs with minimal, efficient CSS

Requirements

• Expert CSS knowledge including Flexbox and Grid layout
• Expert SCSS preprocessor knowledge
• Strong Vue.js component architecture skills with TypeScript
• Proficiency with browser developer tools for debugging and performance optimization
• Experience with Scoped CSS, CSS Variables, and local scope CSS strategies
• Track record of delivering responsive designs with precision
• Comfort with PRs, code reviews, and distributed team collaboration

• Experience with high-traffic sites and large-scale projects
• Strong communication skills in a fully remote environment
• Sense of ownership and responsibility
• Chess player or interest in the game
