Frontend Lead Developer

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver high-quality features for Musescore.com
• Lead a frontend team (core, growth, and monetization) to increase productivity
• Own the technical quality, architecture, and performance of the product
• Partner with managers, designers, and engineers to plan and prioritize technical changes
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues
• Manage technical debt by planning, prioritizing, and executing improvements

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in frontend development
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience
• Proven experience in people management (hiring, onboarding, and personal development)
• Expertise in React, Redux, TypeScript, and ES2019
• Strong architectural thinking with knowledge of SOLID and GRASP principles
• Deep understanding of web performance, Core Web Vitals, and page speed optimization
• Experience with web application rendering (CSR, SSR) and routing
• Proficiency in debugging and profiling using Chrome DevTools
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and development processes (code reviews, testing culture)
• B2 level English proficiency or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large technical migrations
• Experience building product frontend infrastructure (common libraries, build tools like Webpack/Vite, and testing tools like Jest or Playwright)
• Experience implementing product experiments
