General Counsel

Responsibilities

• Advise the business on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the UK
• Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including publishing, licensing, IP, SaaS, procurement and strategic partnerships
• Partner with business leaders by identifying legal risks and providing pragmatic recommendations
• Support cross-border legal projects, corporate governance and international compliance
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, licensing and IP protection
• Drive GDPR compliance, privacy governance, data processing agreements and cross-border data transfers
• Continuously improve contract management, legal documentation standards and legal operations
• Support statutory audits, due diligence projects and regulatory reviews
• Introduce AI-powered legal workflows and automation for contract drafting, legal research, and compliance monitoring
• Collaborate with external legal advisors across different jurisdictions

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a senior in-house legal counsel or general counsel in an international company
• Proven in-house legal experience in the game development industry
• Broad international legal experience with strong expertise in UK corporate and commercial law
• Strong experience with commercial contracts, licensing and intellectual property
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar jurisdictions by working effectively with external counsel
• Business-oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Passion for improving legal processes through AI and modern legal technologies
• Fluency in English and Russian is an advantage
