Job description

Responsibilities

  • Review genetic test orders for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness
  • Facilitate test setup by linking relative samples and positive controls
  • Document order details and updates into internal systems
  • Identify issues and place tests on hold for downstream processing
  • Notify clients of issues and resolve discrepancies in missing information
  • Respond to patient and provider inquiries via phone and email
  • Process incoming referrals and coordinate patient scheduling
  • Support the Patient Counseling Team with follow-up tasks and workflow management
  • Maintain working knowledge of systems for ordering, setup, and scheduling

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Medical Technology, Healthcare, or a related scientific field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in mathematical reasoning and computer literacy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work either Sun-Thurs 8am-4:30pm ET or Mon-Fri 1:30p-10pm ET

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of Genetic Counseling Assistance
