Georgian-English Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Georgian-English interpretation for healthcare and medical calls via phone and video
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter code of ethics
• Take detailed notes during calls to ensure accuracy
• Apply medical terminology knowledge appropriately in clinical contexts
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient patients and healthcare providers
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leadership and comply with dress code for video sessions

Requirements

• Native Georgian and fluent English proficiency
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI interpretation experience with a recognized language services company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity
• Strong listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Healthcare interpretation certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• International certifications in healthcare interpretation
• Awareness of legal terminology for expanded service capabilities
