Georgian OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Georgian-English interpretation for healthcare and medical calls via phone and video
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Apply professional standards of practice and interpreter code of conduct
• Take notes during calls and maintain industry-specific medical terminology knowledge
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leadership and comply with video remote interpreting dress code

Requirements

• Professional interpretation certification
• Native or near-native fluency in Georgian and English
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology
• Dedicated wired internet connection (20+ Mbps download, 10+ Mbps upload)
• Windows 10+ PC with Intel Core i5+ or equivalent processor
• Minimum 8GB RAM
• Noise-cancelling wired headset with microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth)
• Ability to maintain professional home office environment
