Georgian OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Georgian-English interpretation via phone and video for healthcare and medical clients
• Render all messages completely and accurately without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter standards of practice
• Take detailed notes during calls to ensure precise communication
• Facilitate understanding between Limited English Proficient individuals and service providers
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leadership and comply with dress code for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Native fluency in Georgian and professional fluency in English
• 1+ years of professional over-the-phone interpretation experience
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity
• Excellent listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Dedicated wired internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload)
• Windows 10 computer with dual-core 2 GHz processor and 8GB RAM minimum
• Wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth)
