Georgian Remote Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate over-the-phone and video remote interpretation between Georgian and English in healthcare and medical settings
• Render all messages completely and accurately without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter standards of practice
• Take detailed notes during calls and apply specialized medical terminology knowledge
• Facilitate clear communication between Limited English Proficient patients and healthcare providers
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code requirements for video sessions

Requirements

• Native fluency in Georgian and professional fluency in English
• 1+ years of over-the-telephone interpretation experience with an established interpretation company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and demonstrated tolerance for diverse cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Dedicated wired internet connection with minimum 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload (Wi-Fi not permitted)
• Windows 10 or higher with dual-core 2 GHz processor (Intel Core i5 or better) and 8GB RAM minimum
• Wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no Bluetooth or wireless devices)

Preferred Qualifications

• International healthcare certifications such as PICSI, ALTA, or HIPAA
• Additional language pairs or specialized industry expertise
