GIS Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise geospatial solutions
• Support deployment, configuration, and optimization of ArcGIS Enterprise and GeoEvent Server environments
• Design and maintain enterprise GIS architectures supporting cloud-native and hybrid environments
• Lead migration of geospatial applications, services, and data into cloud-based infrastructure
• Support integration of geospatial systems with enterprise data platforms and business systems
• Develop GIS governance strategies, standards, and best practices
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and Zero Trust requirements
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and documentation to GIS teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of specialized experience in enterprise GIS or geospatial architecture
• Experience designing and implementing ArcGIS Enterprise environments
• Experience architecting geospatial solutions within cloud or hybrid environments
• Knowledge of GIS data models, geospatial databases, and enterprise workflows
• Experience supporting cybersecurity and access control requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ArcGIS GeoEvent Server
• Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience integrating GIS with enterprise data lakes or analytics platforms
• Experience supporting federal government geospatial programs
• Esri technical certifications
• Master's degree in a related field
