GIS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage the GIS ticket queue to support internal users
• Solve data issues by reviewing plant drawings, maps, and aerial photographs
• Audit partner address releases and ingest data into databases
• Maintain as-built records and convert CAD formats to structured data
• Update IQGeo with plant moves and network changes
• Produce output for FCC reporting and generate geospatial reports for stakeholders

Requirements

• Completed Post-secondary education in Applied Geography, GIS, or equivalent
• 3+ years of GIS, AutoCAD, or network documentation system experience
• 2+ years of experience with spatial data, data entry, and conversion
• 2+ years of demonstrated project management skills
• Proficiency with SQL queries, especially PostGIS
• Familiarity with IQGeo preferred
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro is a plus
• Programming experience with Go or Python is an asset
