Haitian Creole-English Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Haitian Creole-English interpretation via phone and video calls
• Facilitate communication in healthcare and other industries with strict adherence to interpreter standards
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and comply with dress code for video remote interpreting
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications

Requirements

• Native fluency in Haitian Creole and fluent English
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills

Preferred Qualifications

• International certifications in healthcare interpretation (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
