Head of Compliance, EMEA

At OKX (Dubai, UAE) we are hiring a Head of Compliance, EMEA to lead and operationalize our European compliance program. This role reports into international compliance leadership and will drive operational excellence across country heads and MLROs, balancing regulatory safety with commercial speed.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Compliance program across OKX entities in Europe
• Manage and elevate Country Heads of Compliance and MLROs to a cohesive regional team
• Audit workflows, remove inefficiencies and implement scalable, data-driven frameworks
• Liaise with first-, second-, and third-line teams to strengthen the control environment
• Oversee compliance reviews, investigations and complex escalations
• Produce data-driven reports, SLAs and KPIs for management and the Board
• Participate in Board committee and sub-committee meetings as required

Requirements

• 8+ years compliance experience in financial services, fintech or crypto
• Demonstrable track record operationalizing compliance strategies
• Deep knowledge of EU and UK regulatory regimes (MiCA, GDPR, AMLD5/6)
• Experience working closely with Operations teams
• Strong people management and distributed team leadership
• Ability to use data to measure performance and identify bottlenecks
• High-impact communication skills for business and regulator engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience scaling a crypto or high-growth fintech in Europe
• Prior crypto industry experience
• Certifications such as CAMS or ICA
