Head of Development

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow multiple engineering teams across trading, banking, social, and platform domains.
• Own end-to-end delivery, including architecture, roadmap execution, release cadence, and production reliability.
• Maintain a hands-on approach by reviewing designs and code, setting technical standards, and contributing to critical paths.
• Drive AI initiatives from prototype to production, focusing on product features, personalization, and automation.
• Ensure all systems meet the regulatory, security, and resilience requirements of a licensed multi-asset broker.
• Manage infrastructure strategy, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, and executive teams to report on delivery, headcount, and technical risk.

Requirements

• Deep trading and brokerage expertise (CFDs, forex, equities, ETFs, crypto) including order flow and liquidity connectivity (e.g., FIX).
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI/LLM-based systems to production.
• Strong software development background with the ability to actively write and review code.
• Proven track record managing multiple engineering teams, including engineering managers and tech leads.
• Experience operating within regulated financial services environments (e.g., CySEC, FCA).
• Demonstrated ownership of large-scale, high-availability, low-latency production systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at a broker, exchange, trading platform, or multi-asset fintech.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and modern data/streaming stacks.
• Experience with technical due diligence and the integration of acquired platforms.
• Track record leading distributed, fully remote engineering teams.
