Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHSQ policies, standards, and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment while minimizing environmental impact.
- Lead the EHSQ and Maritime team, providing guidance and oversight for effective execution of EHSQ programs across all operational sites.
- Ensure the organization is compliant with local and international regulations relating to EHSQ.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments, reporting findings, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management and project teams to integrate EHSQ considerations into overall business strategies and project planning.
- Foster relationships with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and other stakeholders to represent the company's interests related to EHSQ matters.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and analyze EHSQ performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are educated on EHSQ policies and procedures.
- Stay current on EHSQ trends and initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHSQ management, preferably within the oil and gas or marine industries
- Deep understanding of local and international EHSQ regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001)
- Demonstrated leadership in driving a proactive safety culture and embedding quality excellence across all levels of the organization
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to engage, educate, and influence diverse stakeholders
- Crisis communication skills and experience leading through high-pressure situations
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
