Head of Publishing

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy, vision, positioning, and business model for Spicy Koala
• Establish the operational foundation including processes, budgets, P&L, and tools
• Own the go-to-market execution for signed titles, including marketing, community, and PR
• Build and lead a high-quality founding team
• Take full P&L accountability for the publishing business
• Manage platform and external partners such as Steam, Epic, and GOG

Requirements

• Extensive leadership experience in game publishing
• Proven track record of successful PC or PC/console title launches
• Deep understanding of the PC publishing landscape and storefronts
• Experience managing the full publishing stack from marketing to production
• Strong business and P&L mindset with data-driven decision-making skills
• Experience building and leading teams
• Strong network of game developers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or scaling a publishing label from scratch
• Console publishing experience (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo)
• Experience with live-service or games-as-a-service titles on PC
