Head of Supply Chain & Logistics - FMCG

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
• Optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and third-party partners.
• Implement technology solutions like SCM software and WMS for visibility and efficiency.
• Manage demand forecasting processes to ensure product availability and minimize stockouts.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and quality control measures.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing supply chain team for continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans.
• Drive innovation in supply chain practices through new technologies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance departments for alignment.
• Monitor and report on key supply chain performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers for favorable terms.
• Champion sustainability initiatives within supply chain operations.
• Oversee effective management of warehouse facilities and transportation networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a significant portion in the FMCG sector.
• Extensive experience with SCM software, ERP systems, and WMS.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, inventory optimization, and cost reduction techniques.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage vendor relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• Experience in managing international supply chains is a plus.
