Hebrew VRI/OPI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
• Apply specialized healthcare and medical vocabulary during interpretation sessions
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients with accuracy and completeness
• Maintain dress code compliance for video remote interpreting sessions
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and provide exceptional customer service throughout all interactions

Requirements

• Native fluency in Hebrew and fluent English proficiency
• 1+ years of telephone interpretation experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma in your native language
• High emotional intelligence and demonstrated tolerance across diverse cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities
• Dedicated wired internet connection with minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds
• Windows 10 computer with dual core 2GHz processor and 8GB RAM minimum
• Wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no wireless or Bluetooth devices permitted)

Preferred Qualifications

• International healthcare certifications such as PICSI, ALTA, or HIPAA
