Hmong Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
• Apply medical and healthcare terminology knowledge to facilitate clear communication
• Provide the highest level of customer service during OPI/VRI interpreting sessions
• Communicate and report to team leaders and participate in internal professional training
• Comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Native fluency in Hmong and fluent English
• High school diploma in your native language
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for different cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI experience preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• International certifications in healthcare interpretation (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
• Awareness of legal terminology
• Eagerness to obtain new professional certifications
