Job description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-bill clinical chart audits to ensure compliance with Medicare hospice regulations
  • Validate documentation supporting terminal prognosis, eligibility, and level of care
  • Review face-to-face encounters, certifications, and recertifications
  • Provide ongoing education and guidance to Intake teams on eligibility and documentation standards
  • Perform focused pre-bill audits in preparation for and response to external audits
  • Monitor audit outcomes, identify trends, and maintain reporting mechanisms
  • Partner with clinical leadership to improve documentation and develop educational materials

Requirements

  • RN required
  • 5+ years of hospice experience
  • 3+ years of compliance or audit experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
