Ilocano/Tagalog Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate OPI/VRI interpretation between Ilocano/Tagalog and English in healthcare and legal settings
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional standards per interpreter code of conduct and dress code for video calls
• Take detailed notes during calls and apply industry-specific terminology
• Complete internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leadership and deliver exceptional customer service

Requirements

• Native fluency in Ilocano/Tagalog and fluent English
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence with tolerance for diverse cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• 1+ years of OPI experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical and/or legal terminology preferred
• Healthcare certifications preferred (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Dedicated wired internet: minimum 10 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload (Wi-Fi not permitted)
• Windows 10 computer with Intel Core i5+ or equivalent, 8GB RAM minimum
• USB wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no Bluetooth/wireless)
• System must run in "High Performance" mode with power adapter plugged in
