Implementation Project Manager

About the Company

The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is building Wero, a proudly European digital wallet designed to make payments easier, clearer, and more secure. Backed by 16 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is creating a new, pan-European payment system that protects money and data under European laws.

Responsibilities

• Support new members through onboarding and co-design their EPI implementation plans
• Act as the central liaison between EPI members and the EPI organization to ensure timely deployment
• Manage all implementation dimensions including technical, legal, branding, marketing, and product
• Lead and prepare steering committee meetings in coordination with member project managers
• Track and report KPIs, identify risks, and provide actionable reporting to stakeholders
• Continuously refine the roll-out and onboarding process to focus on standardization and industrialization

Requirements

• Master's degree in Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in financial services or consultancy, ideally in banking, acquiring, or payment schemes
• Solid experience in project/program management and complex stakeholder management
• High technical affinity combined with business leadership capabilities
• Fluency in English and either French, Dutch, or German (CEFR C1 or C2)
• Proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a flexible, remote, pan-European environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of additional European languages
• Experience in highly regulated fintech or payment environments
