Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Performance Engineer to join our Infrastructure team.As an Infrastructure Performance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of our high-frequency trading systems. You will work closely with a team of talented engineers to identify bottlenecks, improve system throughput and reduce latency. This position requires a deep understanding of low-latency systems, performance analysis, and a passion for squeezing out every last bit of performance from complex systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Perform comprehensive performance analysis of our infrastructure, including latency profiling, bottleneck identification, and resource utilization analysis.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to identify and implement performance improvements at the infrastructure levels (hardware and software).
  • Work closely with network engineers and other infrastructure teams to optimize hardware configurations, network connectivity, and data transmission protocols.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, continuously monitor and benchmark the performance of new hardware, operating systems, and tools, identify opportunities for enhancement, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Utilize performance monitoring tools and frameworks to proactively identify potential performance issues and implement necessary optimizations.

What We Look For In You:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 3 years working with hardware and operating system performance tuning issues, preferably around the financial industry.
  • Proficiency in performance analysis and monitoring tools.
  • Solid knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, and multicast communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex performance issues and propose effective solutions.
