Job description
Responsibilities
- Select accurate medical records for patient safety
- Work with insurance companies and physician offices to complete authorization requirements
- Identify appropriate clinical records and submit authorization requests based on plan requirements
- Act as a liaison between ordering physicians and insurance companies to ensure all requirements for approval are communicated
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of Insurance Authorization experience
- Ability to obtain Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within 9 months of hire
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing systems
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
