Insurance Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit dental insurance claims promptly and accurately
• Follow up with insurance companies to resolve issues or discrepancies
• Post insurance payments and adjustments to patient accounts
• Reconcile insurance payments with the PMS and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable and run regular AR reports
• Partner directly with dental offices and insurance companies as a primary point of contact
• Coordinate with dental offices to ensure accurate coding and documentation

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in dental insurance claim submission, claim posting, and AR management
• Minimum of 8 hours per week availability during standard business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm CST)
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, procedures, and coding
• Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
• Proficiency in Google Workspaces
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
