Insurance Directory Optimization Specialist

Responsibilities

• Own provider-directory accuracy and growth metrics across all contracted payers and networks
• Build and maintain the authoritative provider-data source of truth
• Reconcile data against NPPES, CAQH, credentialing rosters, and payer portals
• Audit directories to ensure Legion appears correctly in patient searches
• Submit and track corrections through payer workflows (portals, rosters, APIs)
• Partner with Growth and Engineering to optimize landing pages and scheduling flows
• Instrument and validate the directory funnel using analytics tools like PostHog
• Build weekly reporting on inventory completeness, error rates, and attributable revenue
• Establish monthly sweeps and automated monitoring to detect data regressions

Requirements

• 2+ years in provider-data management, payer operations, or healthcare data quality
• Direct experience with payer directories, Availity, CAQH, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of NPIs, NPPES, CAQH ProView, and taxonomy codes
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation)
• Comfort with lightweight SQL, APIs, JSON, or no-code automation
• Experience with UTM conventions and product analytics (PostHog or similar)
• Excellent quality-control instincts and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep familiarity with the Texas payer landscape
• Experience with multi-state telehealth networks
• Knowledge of delegated credentialing and provider-data governance at scale
