International Accounting Manager

KoBold builds AI models for mineral exploration and deploys those models—alongside our novel sensors—to guide decisions on KoBold-owned-and-operated exploration programs. KoBold has become both the largest independent mineral exploration company and the largest exploration technology developer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting staff responsible for international entities, including day-to-day work and professional development
• Review full-cycle accounting for multiple foreign subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions
• Establish and maintain accounting infrastructure for new jurisdictions, including local reporting and banking setup
• Review statutory reporting and ensure compliance with local accounting rules
• Prepare quarterly consolidated variance analysis
• Review reporting to joint venture partners and ensure accurate expenditure reporting
• Oversee support to field exploration teams, including project and budget reports
• Oversee accounts payable workflow and vendor compliance
• Support transfer pricing and tax compliance documentation
• Identify and implement automation for accounting and operational processes
• Oversee information flow for statutory and other audits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting
• Experience managing or reviewing the work of accounting staff
• Experience with international operations and multi-entity, multi-currency accounting
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
• Flexibility to accommodate meetings with overseas staff and vendors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with joint ventures in exploration or mining
• Experience establishing accounting operations in new jurisdictions
• Experience implementing new systems and process automation
• Experience with technology or natural resource companies
