International Consultant - Technical and Programmatic Assistance for Women's Leadership in Political and Public Life

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis on women's political participation and leadership in regional and subregional parliaments in Latin America and the Caribbean
• Develop documents to identify challenges and opportunities for substantive parity and the prevention of violence against women in politics
• Create technical inputs, knowledge products, and tools for capacity building and political advocacy
• Support the implementation of the regional portfolio through data collection, analysis, and coordination with strategic partners
• Prepare monthly progress reports and technical briefs for the Regional Office

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Human Rights, or Development Studies
• Master's degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, or Gender Equality (or 2 additional years of relevant experience)
• 1.5 years of experience in programs promoting women's political rights and leadership
• Demonstrable experience in women's leadership within Latin America and the Caribbean
• Proven experience working on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment themes
• Fluency in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the United Nations System
• Experience working with parliaments, public institutions, or regional organizations
