Job description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end investigations of users, wallets, and transactions using internal tools and third-party data providers (KYC/KYT, blockchain analytics).
  • Perform behavioral analysis to identify irregular patterns, potential fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions evasion, or misuse of channels.
  • Build and interpret relationship graphs of wallets, users, and intermediaries to identify networks and flow patterns.
  • Use OSINT and investigative tools to trace funds, link entities, and uncover relationships.
  • Produce comprehensive investigation reports with findings, rationale, and recommended case outcomes.
  • Make evidence-based decisions on case outcomes while ensuring objectivity, consistency, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Ensure investigative actions align with international standards (e.g., FATF, OFAC) and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve investigative processes, automation, and detection capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Cybersecurity or related field (advantage).
  • 2+ years in crypto compliance, investigations, or at a VASP/exchange/blockchain analytics provider.
  • Experience with sanctions screening, fraud prevention, and broader financial crime workflows.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, FATF guidance, and risk-based decision-making.
  • Proven track record preparing structured investigation summaries and submitting SAR/STRs.
  • Strong research, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
