iOS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and scale iOS experiences for patient and provider journeys, including onboarding, scheduling, and remote monitoring.
• Develop and maintain a modern codebase using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate with FHIR-based backend services to ensure robust networking and data resiliency.
• Build remote health monitoring workflows, including device pairing and background data synchronization.
• Implement Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integrations for scanning, pairing, and managing GATT services.
• Integrate Apple Health via HealthKit for secure reading and writing of health data.
• Implement deep linking (Universal Links) and mobile attribution tools to drive user acquisition.
• Ensure high standards of security, privacy, and performance through rigorous testing and crash analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production iOS applications.
• Proficiency in Swift and experience with SwiftUI (and UIKit where appropriate).
• Hands-on experience with CoreBluetooth (BLE) and handling real-world device connectivity.
• Experience with HealthKit and Apple Health integrations.
• Strong networking experience with REST/JSON APIs.
• Experience implementing deep linking and in-app routing.
• Familiarity with mobile analytics and ad attribution SDKs (e.g., AppsFlyer, Firebase).
• Strong testing mindset with experience in XCTest (unit and UI testing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards, specifically FHIR.
• Experience with background execution constraints and reliable data sync strategies.
• Experience working with IoT ecosystems and firmware-related data validation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling for iOS, such as Fastlane or GitHub Actions.
• Experience building applications that handle sensitive, highly regulated health data.
