IT Support Officer

About the Company

The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is an international volunteers-led think tank supporting and advocating the application of blockchain technology in the global fight against climate change.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support for BCI Volunteers regarding software, hardware, and computer systems
• Participate in troubleshooting and incident resolution activities
• Perform regular maintenance checks and user account management
• Create simple solutions utilizing Office 365 or G-Suite
• Maintain high-quality documentation and a team support knowledge base
• Set up new user accounts and profiles and manage password issues
• Identify support requests that may require project-level technical specifications

Requirements

• Demonstrable skills in Office 365 and G-Suite administration
• Experience with website maintenance and basic design
• Familiarity with both PC and Mac hardware and software
• Experience with network repairs and analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience working in a similar IT support role
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in IT
• City & Guilds IT Practitioners Certificate
• OCR Certificate for IT Practitioners
