IT Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the corporate technology layer end-to-end, including identity and access management (IAM), SaaS tooling, and device security.
• Manage the Okta environment, including SSO consolidation, lifecycle automation, and federation.
• Build and operationalize HRIS-triggered provisioning and offboarding automation across the identity and SaaS stack.
• Support SOC 2 compliance efforts by maintaining access review programs, audit trails, and provisioning logs.
• Contribute to Zero Trust and endpoint security initiatives, including MDM, EDR integration, and device trust.
• Drive SaaS hygiene through shadow IT discovery and configuration hardening.
• Provide IT support for a growing team, managing device lifecycles and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT engineering, corporate security, or a combined IT/SecOps role.
• Deep practical experience with Okta (SSO configuration, lifecycle management, and MFA policies).
• Experience building or managing HRIS/IT integrations and provisioning pipelines.
• Knowledge of SOC 2 access control requirements and audit evidence.
• Proficiency in scripting with Terraform, Python, or Bash to automate repetitive IT workflows.
• Ability to thrive in high-agency, ambiguous startup environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Rippling or similar HRIS platforms.
• Familiarity with MDM platforms such as Jamf, Kandji, or Intune.
• Experience with Google Workspace administration and security hardening.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment wearing both IT and security hats.
