Italian Translator/Linguist

Responsibilities

• Translate online fundraising content from English to Italian, including emails, banners, payment forms, and donor support pages
• Review and revise suggested edits from language service agencies or colleagues to ensure quality
• Perform final proofreading of content after coding and before it goes live
• Provide personal feedback on messages regarding cultural and idiomatic nuances

Requirements

• Native Italian speaker with excellent verbal and written English skills
• Minimum 5 years of extensive English to Italian translation and review experience
• Proven experience translating marketing, advertising, or fundraising content
• Highly dependable and punctual with the ability to work in a flexible environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Wikipedia editing community or with the Wikimedia movement
• Copywriting experience
