Korean-English Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate over-the-phone interpretation between Korean and English speakers
• Answer calls in a professional manner following the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and transparency during conversations
• Take detailed notes during calls to ensure information integrity
• Utilize specific industry vocabulary, particularly within the healthcare and medical sectors
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue new certifications
• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader

Requirements

• Native or bilingual proficiency in both Korean and English
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• High school diploma
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Excellent listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Reliable technical setup: Mac (MacOS 10.13+) or Windows 10+ with at least 4GB RAM
• Stable Ethernet connection (Wi-Fi is not permitted) with at least 4Mbps upload/download speed
• Noise-canceling wired USB headset

Preferred Qualifications

• Awareness of legal terminology
• International healthcare industry certifications (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA)
