Job description

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls professionally following the Interpreter's code of conduct
  • Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
  • Apply medical and healthcare terminology knowledge to facilitate clear communication
  • Provide the highest level of customer service during OPI/VRI sessions
  • Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
  • Participate in internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
  • Comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting

Requirements

  • Native fluency in Korean and fluent English
  • High school diploma in your native language
  • High emotional intelligence and tolerance for different cultures
  • Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
  • 1+ years of OPI/VRI experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Healthcare industry certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with legal terminology
  • Prior work with well-known interpretation companies
