Korean Interpreter - VRI/OPI

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Korean-English interpretation via phone (OPI) and video (VRI) for healthcare and other industries
• Render all messages completely and accurately without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter code of ethics during all calls
• Take detailed notes during calls to ensure precise information retention
• Apply industry-specific vocabulary, particularly medical terminology
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leadership and maintain compliance with dress code for video sessions

Requirements

• Native fluency in Korean and fluent English proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• 1+ years of telephone interpretation experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical or legal terminology preferred but not required
• Healthcare industry certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with OPI/VRI platforms in a professional interpretation setting
• Familiarity with healthcare interpretation standards and protocols
• Additional language pairs beyond Korean-English
