Land Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EQT's Land Department to align data models, pipelines, and governance
• Coordinate with internal BI/IT and delivery teams to implement changes in Salesforce, Databricks, and AI pipelines
• Implement Claude Enterprise and AI capabilities to achieve measurable Land outcomes
• Translate business opportunities into practical AI designs
• Design, build, and maintain analytical solutions using SQL
• Lead complex analytics initiatives and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and performance
• Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Data Science, or Engineering
• 3+ years of coding experience
• Advanced SQL proficiency for implementing and optimizing analytical logic
• Working proficiency in R for statistical and analytical use cases
• Proven experience delivering complex analytics solutions in a BI or enterprise environment
• Strong grounding in software development best practices including version control and testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Databricks ecosystem, including Lakehouse architecture, PySpark, and Unity Catalog
• Familiarity with applied statistical learning and advanced analytics techniques
• Experience collaborating with Oil and Gas Land Departments
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce
• Experience developing shared analytics libraries
