Lao OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and maintain awareness of healthcare and medical vocabulary
• Render all messages completely and accurately without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
• Complete internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Fluent in Lao and English with strong interpretation skills
• Dedicated wired internet connection with minimum 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
• Windows 10 or higher operating system with Intel Core i5 or superior processor
• Minimum 8 GB RAM and computer operating in "High Performance" mode
• Noise-cancelling wired headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth)
• Professional certification in interpretation preferred
