Lao OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate OPI/VRI interpretation between Lao and English in healthcare and medical settings
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and comply with interpreter standards of practice
• Take detailed notes during calls and apply industry-specific medical vocabulary
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and adhere to dress code requirements for video sessions

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Lao and English
• Professional interpretation experience with proven accuracy
• Working knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology
• Dedicated home office with noise-cancelling wired headset and microphone
• Windows 10+ computer with dual-core 2 GHz processor and 8 GB RAM minimum
• High-speed wired internet connection (20 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload)
• Availability for full-time business and weekend hours
