Lead AI Systems Engineer - Dubai HQ

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of AirNxt's AI capabilities, including document understanding, agentic workflows, and early fault prediction.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Data Architect to define and deliver intelligent aviation software features.
• Design and deploy AI workflows to transform raw maintenance documents into validated, structured data.
• Develop agent-based automation workflows (using LangGraph or similar) for validation, transformation, and human-in-loop approval.
• Build lightweight predictive models using time-series or log data to flag potential issues before they become unscheduled events.
• Implement NLP and LLM chains to extract information from technical and regulatory documents, pilot logs, work orders, and assist in summarization and checklist generation.
• Ensure AI systems are production-ready, with traceability, robust fallbacks, and trust for operations teams and regulators.

Requirements

• 4–8 years’ experience building and shipping real-world AI/ML systems (not limited to prototypes or research).
• Proficiency in Python and ability to manage services end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with LLM workflows, prompt engineering, and frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Haystack, or equivalents.
• Experience integrating LLMs, embeddings, and vector search into production workflows.
• Developed custom NLP chains for document understanding with schema enforcement and confidence scoring.
• Working knowledge of time-series/anomaly detection (e.g., Prophet, LSTM, transformers).
• High ownership and first-principles mindset with strong debugging skills in production.
• Excellent communication skills; thrive in lean, fast-paced teams without bureaucratic abstraction layers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to aviation, logistics, or other physical/regulated systems.
• Experience with graph data (e.g., Neo4j, property graphs, entity relationships).
• Familiarity with safety reporting systems or compliance-heavy workflows.
• Knowledge of smart contracts or audit-proof data systems.
