Lead AI Systems Engineer - Dubai HQ

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of AirNxt’s AI capabilities, focusing on production systems.
• Partner with CEO and Data Architect to define intelligent aviation software in practice.
• Design and deploy AI workflows that turn raw maintenance documents into structured, validated data.
• Build agent-based automation workflows (LangGraph or equivalent) including validation, transformation, and human-in-loop approval processes.
• Develop lightweight predictive models using time-series or log patterns to flag potential operational issues.
• Implement NLP and LLM chains that extract information and generate checklists from technical, regulatory documents, pilot logs, or work orders.
• Ensure systems have clear traceability, fallbacks, and build trust with ops teams and regulators.

Requirements

• 4–8 years building/shipping real-world AI/ML systems.
• Strong Python development skills with end-to-end service ownership.
• Hands-on with LLM workflows, prompt engineering, chaining frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, Haystack, or similar).
• Experience integrating LLMs, embeddings, and vector search into workflows.
• Custom NLP chain design for document understanding with schema enforcement and scoring.
• Working knowledge of time-series/anomaly detection (e.g., Prophet, LSTM, transformers).
• High ownership mindset and strong production debugging/problem-solving.
• Clear communicator thriving in fast-paced, lean teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aviation, logistics, or regulated systems.
• Knowledge of graph data technologies (Neo4j, property graphs, entity relationships).
• Safety reporting systems or compliance-heavy workflow experience.
• Exposure to smart-contracts or audit-proof data systems.
